Investment Across All Our Hotels In 2016 And 2017

In November 2015 we were delighted to announce that we plan to invest £50 million across our hotels in 2016 and 2017. Improving and upgrading areas including; bedrooms, bathrooms, furnishings, air conditioning and conference and events spaces.

Over £2.2million spent upgrading Wi-Fi access and bandwidth

We have invested £2.2 million in upgrading Wi-Fi access and bandwidth across our 26 hotels, giving guests a faster, more reliable connection

500 simultaneous connections will be available at each internet access point
Each hotel's free Wi-Fi offering will increase from a shared 8Mbps to 90Mbps
Dedicated bandwidth capacity for conferences and events will increase from 90Mbps to 900Mbps
Recognising customer's expectation to always have easy access.
All our health clubs, spas and restaurants will feature their own access points, ensuring that connectivity is reliable through the entire hotel

The Wi-Fi upgrade has started and is due to be completed by the end of July.

58 Bedrooms and bathrooms have been overhauled to bring them up to date for the modern guest, ensuring they are suited for the luxurious 4-star hotel surroundings

£1million investment to date at Dunston Hall

Since January, 55 bedrooms and bathrooms have been fully refurbished at Dunston Hall

Following fantastic customer feedback a further 58 bedrooms & bathrooms will be completed before the end of the summer 2016

£350K Investment into Dunston Hall Spa

The Pool Hall has been overhauled with new ceiling and lighting; Redecoration; new larger Sauna; NEW poolside showers and NEW pool underwater LED lighting

The Changing Rooms have also received a full refurbishment including NEW lighting; NEW showers; NEW lockers with digital locking; Replacement AC and ventilation

Gym equipment has been refurbished and replaced; and public areas have also been refreshed with improved lighting, redecoration and soft furnishings

£1 million investment to date Oulton Hall

Oulton Hall is a grand venue.

We have invested almost £1,000,000 this year to date, to bring Oulton Hall back to its former glory.

72 bedroom and bathrooms are being fully refurbished and completion is expected May 2016

Bedroom corridor redecoration including lighting improvements, artwork and signage is complete

Oulton Hall's Master Banqueting and Conference Suite - The Oulton Suite - along with the bar, corridors, staircase & 2 ancillary meeting rooms, will undergo a refresh with a new carpet covering 950sq.m. Completion is expected in the Summer

£1 million investment to date Belton Woods

The Belton Woods' restaurant furniture has been restored so they are now in keeping with the luxury environment of the four-star hotel
34 bedrooms & bathrooms, including two suites, have been fully refurbished at a cost of £228k
An additional 25 bedrooms and bathrooms will be completed by the end of 2016
Replacement carpets & curtains in the Major Oak Suite

The suite, perfect for both wedding and conference events, is expected to be completed by Summer 2016

Replacement curtains have also been installed in other conference areas including:

Twelve 4m high windows in the Hawthorne meeting rooms
The Willow function room above the Claret Jug

£187k Investment to date at Forest Pines Hotel & Golf Resort

Pines Bar is very popular with both corporate and leisure golfers

A new carpet and bespoke long dining tables and new chairs have been added, which has transformed the look of the bar, and has made the set up even more sociable

The majority of the hotel's bathrooms have received refurbishment

£270k Investment to date at Forest Pines Hotel & Golf Resort

Two new group exercise studios offer guests and members the choice of up to 70 classes per week

One studio pays particular focus to group cycling and also incorporates QHotels' popular Friday Disco Spin Class

Members are now able to experience new state-of-the-art programmes, (including virtual classes) specifically designed for all ages and fitness levels

In addition to the Health Club's expansion, the hotel has extended its opening times, allowing early risers to enjoy a full workout, to revive and refresh for the day ahead

£531k investment to date at The Midland

The French by Simon Rogan's received investment including dedicated WC facilities, cloakroom and store

Bathrooms (within the bedrooms) received investment with all new shower rails/curtains in the bathrooms replaced with glass shower screens

The Spa At The Midland now has beautiful feature seating in the outer lobby area

A substantial amount has been spent, or committed to, behind the scenes, ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained to a high standard. Projects include new air handling equipment, a new sound system in Mr. Coopers House & Garden restaurant and various other M&E / building management projects

The Park Royal received fantastic customer feedback last year following the refurbishment of 41 bedrooms

This year another 25 bedrooms have been refurbished with another 25 bedrooms, including The Ambassador Suite, to be refurbished by the end of Summer 2016. Changes include

Refreshed soft furnishings
New lighting

Aldwark's Pool Hall has been overhauled including a newly refurbished Sauna

Changing Rooms have seen significant investment including upgraded lockers

The Golf shop refurbishment is complete and well stocked with the best lines of clothing and accessories

Public reception area has been refreshed with new flooring

35 bedrooms are planned for redecoration to be complete by the end of 2016

Various public areas are to be refreshed with decoration and carpeting that is perfect for this four-star hotel. To be complete by the end of 2016

£62k investment to date at Crewe Hall, Cheshire

Crewe Hall is famous for its Old Hall and this historic part of hotel has seen many a wedding, event and celebration

A number of the Old Hall Bedrooms including the Tower Suite have been refreshed with new wall coverings and new carpet.

The Long Gallery function suite, on the first floor of the Hall has been redecorated with special care and attention to the fabulous timber panelling and wall coverings.
